The LTC held in Mimblewimble Extension Blocks (MWEB) rose to Ł465,372 as of Oct 11, 2026, up Ł278,695, or 149.3%, from Ł186,677 a year earlier, according to the register’s figures.

MWEB is an optional extension to Litecoin in which amounts and balances are kept confidential. Coins move into it from ordinary Litecoin addresses and back out again; the figure is the total LTC inside it at a given time, not one holder’s coins.

MWEB is the ninth-largest holding on the register and the second-largest in the ecosystem category, after Binance-Peg Litecoin. Its growth accounts for most of the ecosystem category’s 35.0% rise over the year, to Ł1,346,655.

A September peak

The balance reached a record Ł563,998 on Sep 15, 2026, then fell 17.3% in the 30 days to Oct 11. It rose Ł6,968, or 1.5%, in the last seven days of that period.

At month ends, the balance stood at Ł280,643 on Oct 31, 2025, Ł391,613 on Dec 31, 2025, Ł467,179 on Jul 31, 2026 and Ł424,612 on Sep 30, 2026.

How the figure is read

The register reads the MWEB balance from its own Litecoin node through Litecoin Core’s RPC interface, and earlier figures from the MWEB Explorer charts. Both report the total value moved into MWEB that has not yet moved out. The register’s series starts on May 20, 2022, with Ł810.

The figure measures use of the extension, not ownership. It does not show who holds the coins inside MWEB or how many holders there are.
