Help & Documentation
Welcome to the Litecoin Register. This guide explains how to navigate the dashboard, filter data, and understand the metrics we track.
What is the Litecoin Register?
The Litecoin Register is an open-source, community-maintained database tracking the world’s largest Litecoin portfolios. We monitor public companies, investment funds, government reserves, exchanges, and ecosystem projects to provide a real-time view of institutional Litecoin adoption.
Disclaimer: The Litecoin Register is not a broker-dealer, financial advisor, or regulated financial entity. Data is gathered from public filings, blockchain analytics, and voluntary disclosures. It may be incomplete, outdated, or erroneous. Do not use this dashboard for making investment decisions.
Data Integrity
- Update Frequency: Data is updated sporadically based on the availability of public reports.
- Verification: Entities are only listed if their holdings can be tied to a verified source (SEC filing, audited financial report, or signed wallet message).
- Forward-Fill: When data is missing between days on charts, the previous day’s value is carried forward.
- Double Counting: Litecoin could be double counted across multiple entities. For example, a company’s treasury could be deployed to a DeFi protocol.
- Delayed updates: Public holdings changes are not usually announced until a much later date after the buy/sell has actually occurred. For example, SEC filings can be filed months after the actual reporting period. Therefore current displayed totals do not necessarily represent the true current holdings and charts are sometimes retroactively updated to reflect the latest data.
📊 Dashboard Summary Tiles
At the top of the page, you will find five summary tiles. These metrics update instantly whenever you change your sector filters.
- Total Tracked Holdings: The aggregate amount of Litecoin held by the currently selected entities. Includes a pie chart breaking down holdings by sector.
- 30-Day Net Flow: Shows whether the selected entities have accumulated (+) or distributed (-) Litecoin over the past 30 days. Includes a bar chart comparing sector flows.
- Monitored Entities: The total number of individual funds, companies, or addresses currently included in your view. Includes a pie chart showing entity distribution by sector.
- % of Total Supply: Two progress bars. The top bar shows the percentage of the 84,000,000 LTC hard cap held by your filtered selection. The bottom bar shows the total tracked across our entire database.

🔗 Advanced URL Parameters
Every time you click a filter or change the time range, the URL in your browser updates automatically. You can share this URL to send someone an exact view of the dashboard.
For advanced users, you can manually craft URLs using parameters that go beyond the standard UI checkboxes. Multiple values can be separated by commas.
Supported Parameters:
?sector= Filters the dashboard to specific sectors or subsectors.
?region= Filters the dashboard by geographic region or specific country.
?include= Forces specific entities to appear, regardless of other filters. Uses the entity’s profile slug.
?exclude= Removes specific entities from the dashboard entirely.
Combined Example: To view all North American public companies, while explicitly excluding a specific entity, your URL would look like this:
/?sector=public-company®ion=north-america&exclude=lits
📈 The Historical Chart
To view aggregate holdings over time, click the “Show Historical Holdings Chart” toggle.
(Note: This is hidden by default to ensure the page loads lightning-fast on mobile devices).
- Time Filters: Use the buttons (3M, 1Y, 5Y, ALL) to zoom in on specific historical periods.
- Interactive Tooltip: Hover your mouse (or tap on mobile) over the chart line to see the exact aggregate balance on any given day.
🗄️ The Data Table
The main table lists every tracked entity based on your active filters, ranked by their total holdings.
- Rank: Current standing based on total holdings (updates dynamically when filtered).
- Organization: The name of the organization. Click the name to view their dedicated profile and historical event log. The flag indicates their primary operating jurisdiction.
- Type: The subsector classification of the entity.
- Litecoin: Their most recently recorded Litecoin balance.
- Last Updated: The date of their most recent balance change or balance verification.
